LAW PRACTICE
Practice began in December, 1977 in Orange County.  Concentrated on representation of persons accused of crime and persons alleging civil rights violations.  Have tried approximately 40 criminal and civil jury trials.  These include three first degree murder cases, a civil rights verdict against Disneyland in Orange County Superior Court and a civil fraud verdict against Qualcomm in San Diego County Superior Court.  Have also tried cases before military tribunals and administrative agencies including the Department of Real Estate, the California Horse Racing Board, the Department of Consumer Affairs, the Department of Motor Vehicles, the State Contractors License Board, The Los Angeles County Civil Service Commission, the United States Merit Systems Protection Board, the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, The California Acupuncture Board, the Orange County Department of Education, numerous school boards, planning commissions and city councils.

Have prosecuted many cases at the courts of appeal and state supreme court involving criminal, civil and administrative law issues.  Sixteen of those case have been published as legal precedent.  (California appellate courts publish only eight per cent of their opinions).

Clients have included Doctors, Nurses, Chiropractors, Acupuncturists, Dentists, Lawyers, Judges, Churches, Priests, Ministers, Rabbis, Indian Tribes, School Teachers, School Principals, Students from grade school to graduate school, Air Traffic Controllers, Military Personnel, Elected Officials, Newspapers, Adult Entertainment Businesses, Adult Entertainers, Sports Bars, Restaurants, Nightclubs, Medical Clinics, Homeless Persons, Political Protestors, College Football Players, College Coaches, Whistleblowers, Mobile Home Park Tenants, Municipalities, The City of Los Angeles Police Union (LAPPL), College Fraternities, Day Care Centers, Homeowners, Non-Profit Organizations and a host of other private individuals and businesses who have found themselves entangled with government regulations.

  • Served as the Legal Director of the Orange County Chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union. (1978-1982; 1987).

LAW HOBBY
Visited and photographed 54 sites in the United States that were involved in United States Supreme Court decisions.  These included a barbecue restaurant in Alabama, municipal swimming pools in Mississippi, a high school in Arkansas, a nuclear power plant in North Carolina, a movie theater in Georgia, a fraternity house in New York, an abortion clinic in Ohio, a city park in Illinois and a host of other sites throughout the country.
